Thank you for your interest in the Maureen Mahan Copelof for NC House 113 campaign. I am excited and honored to be running for this office, and I am committed to honest and forthright dialogue in Raleigh on your behalf to focus on improving the quality of life for all the residents in Transylvania, Polk and Southern Henderson counties.
My campaign priorities are:
ECONOMY: Attract and maintain diverse industries providing well-paying jobs.
EDUCATION: Restore North Carolina's public education to the highest standards our citizens expect and deserve at all levels from pre-K through post-secondary.
HEALTH CARE: Ensure adequate and affordable health care for every citizen. Accept Medicaid coverage expansion in NC.
ENVIRONMENT: Position NC to be a leader in research, creation and application of clean energy.
I served my country as a member of the United States Navy for 30 years. My military service taught me that when something is broken, you stand up and fix it. That's why I'm running, and I am ready to serve the people of District 113 with that same dedication and commitment.

Draft Gerrymandering Bill
With the June 7th primaries right around the corner, I felt it was time to have an honest conversation about gerrymandering, and how we can address it. I have posted a draft bill on my website that would end political redistricting in North Carolina. It's time to stop playing with the constitutional rights of our citizens.
Come read exactly how I want to ensure that every vote in North Carolina is treated equally here.
